Do you have a happy hour? Do you have a dress code??
Our 1st time dinner at Portland, Oregon went well. Became unforgettable memory, thank you. Its definitely upscale adulty atmosphere( its dimmed. my child frowned n said its not her bed time, lol ) n all workers r elegant but friendly. We felt we should not bring our very busy chatty toddler, who cannot sit long time n doesnt have table manner yet. However, the workers made us feel welcome n good at talking to my child. the food was great anyway, n big portion! We could not finish even half. the valet parking was awesome, too in the busy city.
MoreOnly the best and get the Walter Scott Pinot Noir.....it's so delicious!!!!!
TRULY THEE BEST Filet Mignon Twins Oscar (Lobster claw, green beans, bernaise) I've ever had!! And those roasted Brussels sprouts, the onion rings w/ house dressing--PHENOMENAL! Desserts just WOW!. Service was STELLAR!! Truly an amazing dining experience!
MoreIt's all about the experience, isn't it? There's some good steak in town, that's for sure. And yet the service we got when we arrived (very late for our reservation, due to unforeseen circumstances) was nothing short of respectful and excellent. They accommodated and found us a table even though they were completely booked. They treated us extremely well and did not mind at all that we brought a bottle of our own (very nice) wine. The valet parking is nice too! The Food + The Experience = We'll Be Back
MoreThe food was delicious and the staff was polite and quick to respond!Highly reccomend this place.
MoreBy far my favorite happy hour spots in Portland. The steak bites are amazing! Also a great place to have a classy dinner or date night. Excellent service as well, one of my favorites.
More5 🌟 doesn't come often but this one is easily worth it. Pretty expensive experience but totally worth it. Great food and the staff is top shelf...you would be hard pressed to find better service or food.
MoreThe appetizers were good. We had their signature onion rings and a crab cake. I also had the baked french onion soup. It was ok but mine at home is better. I was too full to eat the main course but I did take a couple bites before having then box it up for me. Honestly it was a very fatty ribeye. Even when I reheated it at home I cut around 40% of it away as fat. I wasnt seasoned well either which left it a little flat tasting. I probably wont eat here again
MoreOh Baby is the food and service great here! It has great atmosphere and the wait staff is so professional. I had prime rib and Loved it!
MoreLet’s give it up for that service. That was fantabulous service I’ve received here. I did come here for Sunday happy hour but was treated just as regally. I got Steak bites and jumbo classic shrimp and surf clams (not pictured) with the first two being $$$ flavors for the $ pricing. The fried surf clams were nothing write home about (misread and didn’t know it comes out fried and I can’t taste how fresh it is)
MoreExcellent food, service and ambience, featuring the best happy hour in Portland Oregon. The seafood, especially their fried clams, are excellent. Everything on the menu has been consistently delicious over the years. Ringside Uptown on West Burnside is a fine choice for special occasions.
MoreBest steakhouse in PDX. The steaks are beautifully dry aged and seared perfectly. You can't go wrong here.
MoreHands down the best steak house I've ever experienced. Amazing food, which you could tell it was done with care and passion, combined with a service next to no other restaurant in town. EVERYONE cared about our experience. Even the valet asked (and he was sincere) how our dinner was? when we were going home... Truly a dream team, that's why they are as good as they are. Thank you for the world class meal, we will be back for more.
MoreThe service was great, food was amazing. I had a rib eye with lobster mashed potatoes, steak was cooked to perfection!
MoreIt's dark and loud and the food is not worth the price. The service is beyond fantastic, the onion rings are amazing but wasn't impressed with the salmon. It was a huge portion the sauce was really unique like a sweet tomato wine, but the potatoes under it were not cooked. I may come back for the huge steak someday.
MoreBeen a pescatarian almost forever, never disappoints. Lots of great reds on the wine list - like most steakhouses, but Ringside has always been special!
MoreGreat choices on the menu. Wonderful staff who are helpful and make recommendations without being pushy. Great wine and drink selection. The onion rings are a must for an along with the onion soup. I would definitely recommend The red Zinfandel to go along with any of the meat dishes.
MoreThe food here is delicious and their menu has a very wide vatiety of options, I think they really do have something for everyone. The service was great and the energy in this restaurant is energetic, classy, and old-timey.
MoreReservations on a Fri or sat night recommended. Steak is amazingly delicious. To give an idea of cost we got 2 higher end steaks, 5 drinks, 1 side to share, and desert for $215 ish. So worth it!!! All staff members are super polite and helpful.
MoreThis amazing restaurant is an experience. The service was spot on and professional, with excellent suggestions throughout the meal. The food! Oh my goodness, the steaks are amazing. They come out on a sizzling plate, and the quality is exquisite. We also got dessert, and the sponge cake is light and fruity. Delicious. The drinks were also amazing. If you like fruity flavors, try the Blackberry Mule. You won't be disappointed. The ambiance is relaxed and upscale. Very classy. I loved the entire experience.
MoreI travel 3 1/2 hrs once a month to eat here. Best prime rib ever, and the service is the best I've ever seen. Absolutely love the ringside.
MoreThe steak was perfectly cooked and great quality. We also had the chili lime crab cakes and they were delicious (my favorite part of our visit). The Paula Schultz cocktail was perfectly sweet and yummy.I wasn’t a fan of the only options that came with any steaks were starch (3 different potato options and rice pilaf). I asked to sub Brussels sprout but that wasn’t possible. I wouldn’t have minded paying the difference. The Paris Brest I had for dessert I wasn’t a fan of. The ice cream was perfect and the pears were amazing but the cream inside wasn’t sweet. It almost tasted like wine flavored cream. I wish the cinnamon toast I cream would’ve been inside instead. My husband had the sour cream cheesecake and it tasted like standard cheesecake to us. The fruit along the side was delicious though.
MoreThe staff was beyond helpful and pleasant. They exude a true pride about their place of work and care about your time with them from the valet to the servers. This is an expensive and pleasant place to dine, with excellent food.If you are coming to Portland and want fine dining this is and has been someplace all who live here go for over 75 years and a true landmark in Portland Oregon.
MoreWe had a perfect dinner here. The delicious steaks came along with great ftench fries and tasteful sauce. Good variety of beer available. The staff were friendly, helpful and had very good knowledge about the food and drinks they served. It's a shame they do not have a good espresso. Otherwise we could have called this a perfect dinner.
MoreBest steak I've had in 2 years. Melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Service was impeccable. They solved an issue we created (under estimated our group size in a fully-booked restaurant) with smiles and kindness. Thank you Ringside!
MoreOne of my favorite steak houses in Portland area. I posted a picture of onion rings, and picture doesn't do justice. They are killer.... And their steaks are cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place.
MoreNice venue, good ambiance and the waiter was amazing. He was always checking in on us. It was my boyfriend's birthday and everyone knew and made sure he had a great night
MoreI had my birthday here and had a wonderful experience. Jessica was our server and she was very friendly, informative, and attentive. All of the food was mouthwateringly good and greatly exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be returning.
MoreAwesome steakhouse with an awesome happy hour! 9:30pm - close everyday, plus 4-5pm on Sundays. The food is fantastic. Steak bites absolutely melt in your mouth. Grab a martini and settle in.
MoreThis place is surely one of the most pleasant place to eat in the area. Anytime I come to this place I am so happy. They maintain their high level service and the highest level of food they provide. You no doubt will love this place. Warmly recommended.
MoreThe meat was as tender and buttery as promised. Excellent service!
Ordered steak, bone marrow, tuna and a dessert. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. Great service and cozy interior. Highly recommend.
MoreAmazing no BS steak!! Had a 6oz filet minion and it was the most tender steak I've had, with a lot of flavour. You gotta start with the onion rings, they are really crispy with good batter, and the onions are perfectly cooked, but not over cooked like other chefs do, may be the best rings I've had! The bread is also amazing, definitely get that. They give you all the fixings to put on your baked potato, it was fully satisfying! They definitely can say they are the best Steakhouse, since 1944! Service was friendly and helpful, keep up the great work! Visit and enjoy!
MoreWe came to this restaurant for dinner. my friend recommended this restaurant. Well, it was a winning. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we felt fantastic. The meal was tasty. We enjoyed every moment and we will visit this place again. we highly recommend this place.
MorePhenomenal!! I wish one word would make a good review because that's all it takes! Food wa amazing, drinks were delicious, service was top notch, and at a reasonable price for what it is! I highly recommend going here. Make a reservation though...
MoreService was great. Food was decent. Loved the flight of bubbles.
Best steak house I've ever had the opportunity to visit. The meal wasn't even the best feature, that's not to say it was bad. Not at all, the food was amazing. The service on the other hand was absolutely the best service I have ever had at any dinner establishment. Our server was name Scott, off to an amazing start right off the bat. He was very helpful and prompt. Never did any of my party feel talked down to or demeaned on not knowing something on the menu. The rest of the staff was so on top of refilling drinks, that we tried to see if we could empty a glass of water. However, as soon as we'd get half way someone out of left field would swoop in and refill it. Scott was kind enough to take some photos of our family get together. If you plan on going, so yourself a favor and ask for Scott. You'll never have a better eating experience.
MoreThe best service we have had at any sit down restaurant . The food was great ! We hope we get the same experience next time!.
MoreGet served by Chris if you can! She is fantastic! Also, take any recommendations she gives, she knows what she is talking about. The hype about the onion rings is real. I have not had a single disappointing flavor ever from the Ringside.
MoreVery nice. James our waiter was very nice and had a lot of useful wine recommendations. I had the ribeye which was good. The wife had the fillet minion which was like butter. Super great. Onion rings and their house sauce were also exceptional.
MorePerhaps the best steakhouse in Portland and one of the best meals you can get here. Don't miss the onion rings or mashed potatoes. The wedge is fantastic. Keep in mind that the steaks (with a few exceptions) are big, so go easy on the appetizers or split everything. Valet parking is free ($3-4 tip is about right), and the driveway is a narrow one on the west side of the restaurant (left side if you're facing it from Burnside). It's pricey in general (expect a minimum of $60 per person) but worth it. Great for anniversaries and other special occasions. They gave us a free dessert and champagne to celebrate. The wine/beer list is extensive. While there's no dress code, most people dress a bit nicer to come here. Can't say which steak is the best - so many to choose from. You can't really go wrong.
MoreThere arent any better steak houses around. Try the dry aged steaks, it's worth every penny. Life is too short to not eat well.
MoreSpendy but worth it! Super high quality food and great service!
My Slavic/ Oregon diamonds 💎 mean a lot to me they have a Conservative side to persevere the threaten or endangered wild life. I’m not sure if your aware of the term, “Bamboo Furniture” 🛋 However a lot of it’s materials are enlisted. The collection is vintage thou.
MoreWe were celebrating our anniversary tonight. Our server, Mary, was amazing. Our whole service team was awesome. We have been to Ringside many times, but tonight we were treated unlike never before. We will definitely be back!
MoreExpensive but mouthwatering goodness. If you don't mind paying then I highly recommend.
MoreWe came in at 10 on a Wednesday for a late happy hour. It was very busy, so we had to wait a bit for a spot. Had I known how good the food was going to be, I would have been in line at 9:30!! The restaurant is very old-school in decor and attitude, which was kind of nice. Wine list was varied and interesting. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, crab cake, shrimp cocktail, and steak bites. The Brussel sprouts are one of the best preparations I've ever had, and almost hard to describe. Full of creamy blue cheese and bacon, but also fried to perfection, they melted on the tongue. The dry-aged steak bites were meaty and juicy beyond imagination. We might be going back for a full dinner while we're in town, just because we can't stop thinking about that steak!
MoreSuch a great experience. We ordered fried Brussels sprouts, Steak and spaghetti squash carbonara 🤤 so good.
MoreAmazing food, relaxing and comforting atmosphere. Great place for a date night. Cheap happy hour. My husband and I had a wonderful time here we ended up forgetting our leftovers on the table. Such a bummer because we only took a few bites a d talled the rest of the time. I just remember the food was delicious and I cant wait to go back!
MoreThis place offers amazing service, as one would expect. The waiters are attentive without being clingy. Honestly this is the hallmark of excellent wait-staff. The ambiance is warm and luxurious without being ostentatious. The drinks are fantastic, the bartenders don't try and reinvent the wheel, they perfect the classics. That said, I don't think that my entre was as well prepared as it could have been. My steak was a trifle undercooked (to my preference) I suspect it wasn't allowed to rest long enough. All in all I would give four and 3/4 stars if I could.
